We decided to bless Jayden while Mark's parents were here visiting. We were so glad they got to share this special day with us. We originally wanted to get back to Utah to do it around our whole family, but it just didn't work out. It was a great day and Mark did a great job. It was a beautiful blessing. Jayden Dennis is named after my dad, who passed away 15 years ago, Dennis Jay. I always wanted a little boy to name after my dad. Travis Charles is named after Mark (whose middle name is Travis) and Mark's dad, Charles. So, now both my boys carry on their grandpa's names. I think that is pretty special!

How great that you were able to have some family here for the blessing. I'm sad I missed it--I was home with sick kids.

Sometimes the small events are the best. I love that both your boys' names are family names. I think it gives a special bond between them and men whose names they bear. I like the modern touch you added to your father's name to make it Jayden's very own.
